Sunday Selections

August 24, 2014

Last week was tough, friends. You know how sometimes you just have those weeks where everything is a struggle? Last week was one of those. But tomorrow is the start of a brand new week and that’s exciting.

Bicycle, Berlin

WATCH: Most of us tend to believe that happiness is a thing to be found. However, scientist Dan Gilbert in his TED talk on ‘The surprising science of happiness’ challenges the idea that we’ll be miserable if we don’t get the things we want and reminds us that we actually have the ability to synthesise happiness ourselves.

EAT: Now that I’m back at work full-time, this list of 16 recipes that pack well for lunch is going to come in handy.

DIY: I’m loving this idea of painting the inside of kitchen cupboards, creating a little pop of colour to brighten one’s day.

DREAM BUY: So I am obsessing over how striking this staircase is and I want one for my future home!

BUDGET BUY: The weather definitely is changing fast over here in Berlin, with summer seemingly having checked out already. I’ll be stocking up on some more neutral tones like these Essie polishes to take me into the fall.

GO: I’m determined to step foot on the African continent whilst I’m living here in Europe and Morocco really is calling. Doesn’t Chefchaouen (The Blue City) just look surreal?

Wishing you a positive week!
