Time away from the normal routine is such a blessing, isn’t it? This past week allowed me to indulge in all of the things I am not normally able to afford the time for: slow mornings with no alarm clock screaming at me to get up, crisp, autumn morning walks and coffee with friends, comfort cooking as well as excursions to beautiful new places. The perfect ingredients for recharging the batteries.

I fell head over heels in love with this little street in Potsdam last week. You can see why!

Potsdam, Berlin

This week’s favourite links are:

WATCH: Paris and NY: two of the most iconic cities in the world. This little video juxtaposes the two, comparing their similarities in transport, infrastructure, culture and monuments. Which city is your favourite?

READ: Tuula Vintage by Jessica Stein is where I often look for a fail-safe wanderlust fix. Her post on the spectacular Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia fills me with regret having not made it there during my trip over the summer. Phenomenal!

EAT: This ribollita looks like the perfect, warming meal for these increasingly cooler nights. Healthy, yet comforting.

MAKE: I’m so bummed that I won’t be able to attend any of Berlin’s Halloween parties again this year. Last year I was sidelined with the flu and this year I’m away. So I guess I’ll be saving these 13 fun ideas for Halloween for next time.

BUY: Winter is creeping closer and closer, with the last few days in Berlin being surprisingly nippy! Getting prepared for the long, cold winter months is now firmly on my mind and I’m in love with this coat. While it’s too light to get me through the winter, it’s perfect for right now.

GO: I’m off to Barcelona on Thursday for work. Even though I will be working for most of my time away, Barcelona is never something to complain about is it?

I hope your week is filled with colour.
