Sunday Selections

Happy Easter my friends! I hope the Easter bunny was good to you this year and you’re already nibbling away at your mounds of chocolate eggs. Chocolate, hot cross buns and public holidays are my three favourite things about Easter.

If you follow along on Instagram, you may have noticed that this past week has been all about catch ups with friends and family, beachy days, Melbourne coffee, brunch and sunshine. I’m planning a whole lot more of this next week too. This afternoon I’m heading down to the coast again for a good ol’ Aussie barbeque with some friends and I can’t think of anything I would rather do. How are you spending your Easter Sunday?

Here are this week’s favourite links:

WATCH: Dove’s new campaign, ‘One Beautiful Thought’, really gets us thinking about the patterns of negative self-talk we bombard ourselves with daily. We wouldn’t criticize others so harshly, so why do we do it to ourselves?

READ: As children, wondering deeply about ourselves, the world and the universe was a natural thought pattern. Why is it that as we grow older we lose this curiosity? Why are we more inclined to doubt rather than wonder about possibility? This article, ‘The Wonder Years’, by Bridgette Bassa reminds us why wonder is something we should actively cultivate on a daily basis.

EAT: These jerked sriracha roast pork tacos with kiwi salsa verde. Drool!

MAKE: What do you guys think of this DIY chalkboard globe? How fun it would be to draw your own version of the world!

BUY: Now that I’m back in Melbourne, I’m stocking up on my favourite skincare brand, Aesop. Even though I can get these products in Berlin, they are a little more expensive over there. After all, Aesop is a Melbourne brand. I picked up this pack yesterday to treat my skin.

GO: Ben and I have hit the open road a couple of times since being home and we’re off to the beach again later today. Aren’t road trips just the best? Here are 20 of the world’s most spectacular roads to inspire your next road trip. How many have you driven on? I’ve ticked off three.

Have a lovely Easter dear readers!
