Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there today. Ben and I Face-Timed our mums in Melbourne this morning, sending lots of cuddles through the internet. It’s hard being so many miles away from your mum on days like these. If we were home we would have spent the day with our mums, but being in Berlin meant that today was quiet instead. We spent most of the day at home catching up on the washing and work (writing for me and art for him) but did escape for a coffee and a sneaky chocolate cookie at our favourite local cafe. Quiet Sundays are just what you need sometimes, aren’t they?

Here are this week’s favourite links:

WATCH: Can you tell that heading back to Asia has been on my travel wish-list lately? This video, ‘Reverie of Vietnam’ is keeping it firmly printed there.

READ: Too many tourists unknowingly contribute to animal suffering when they engage in activities such as this. It’s time to think more carefully about ethical tourism.

EAT: This is the perfect weekday breakfast-on-the-go. Nutritious AND delicious!

MAKE: This DIY is the perfect gift for the sweet-tooths in your life.

BUY: One of these definitely belongs on the wall.

GO: Nicola Easterby’s photos of the north of Auckland are reminding me just how beautiful the land of the long white cloud is. When I’m back in the region, a road-trip across NZ awaits!
