Oh my goodness. Could California seriously be any more beautiful? I’ve just returned from one heck of a weekend full of adventure in Yosemite National Park and let me tell you, it’s right up there with some of the most extraordinary landscapes I’ve ever seen. Ever. Out there I felt my breath catch in my throat around every bend and my heart swelled bigger with awe by the minute. I caught it all on Snapchat (deptofwandering) and will be posting all the highlights on Instagram this week too. Stay tuned for the full blog post soon. Seriously, you need to. Just sayin’.

So this is our last week in LA before we jet off for a little break in NYC and then on to Mexico. Time is really flying by fast at the moment. There is still so much I want to see (and eat) before I leave LA — do you have any tips? Tell me, tell me, tell me!

Here are this week’s favourite links:

WATCH: Even though I’m away from home living an adventure, Melbourne is one heck of a beautiful city.

READ: The hustle vs the highlights reel. They’re two very, very different things and it’s a dangerous comparison.

EAT: Is this what I think it is? Breakfast in a popsicle? Two of my favourite things combined!

MAKE: These are just about the coolest DIY easter eggs on the planet.

BUY: An essential for Mexico.

GO: This collection of the most beautiful travel photographs of 2016 makes me want to go EVERYWHERE.

xx

I can’t wait to see your blog post on Yosemite!! Ever since I planned my trip for September I’ve been doing so much research on the park! Did you stop anywhere else around the park that was really cool? I’ll be driving to the park from Monterey, CA!

Oh my goodness you’re going to have the biggest adventure, Jaqui! We drove from LA so took Highway 41 through Oakhurst and Fish Camp before we reached the park. Be sure to visit Tunnel View, Mirror Lake, Yosemite Falls and the meadows. Book dinner at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel in the valley and have a hot cocoa by the fireplace beforehand. It’s just the best! x

Thank you for all the advice! I looked up images of all those places and I know I’ll definitely have to make it to all of those! Have fun in New York! If you need some suggestions one of my favorite you-tubers, Tess Christine, has two NYC guides - one for DUMBO and one for SOHO that are great!
