Greetings from Adelaide! This weekend, I’ve jetted off on a sneaky girls’ getaway with my darling Emma Kate. We’re having an indulgent weekend at The Watson, an Art Series Hotel and today we’re heading up into the Adelaide Hills for a gourmet lunch at The Lane Vineyard as well as a spot of cellar door hopping. Does that sound like my kinda weekend or what? Bliss. Be sure to follow along on Snapchat (deptofwandering) for all the live action!

Other happenings this week? Well, not much, since I’ve been laid up in bed for most of the week with a sprained ankle. I was trying to do that healthy thing by hitting the gym hard and smashing those high-impact moves. Until I came off the Power Plate and my ankle gave way. Ouch. It was pretty bad. Ben even had to piggyback me some of the way home. What a sight that must have been. I’ve been hobbling around the past few days so much so that I’ve earnt the nickname ‘Crip’. I even hitched a ride to my gate at Melbourne Airport yesterday in one of the wheelchairs for the mobility impaired. That’s definitely been the highlight of this injury. But I was determined to not let it ruin my plans for a wine-filled weekend so I’ve been resting up over the past few days and it’s feeling loads better now. Phew. Wouldn’t want it to interfere with those winery visits. Now that would really suck.

What else? On Friday night I was treated to the spectacular Singin’ In The Rain musical, which has just opened in Melbourne. Gosh, it was impressive! I’ll be posting a review of the show in the next couple of days so keep your eye out for all the deets!

Here are this week’s favourite links:

WATCH: Oh to one day go exploring the wild and rugged Scottish highlands.

READ: This article on why you should stop saying ‘I feel like’. Linguistics is interesting, no?

EAT: Dreaming about this cardamom pistachio zucchini bread and think I might bake up a batch next week.

BUY: I found a new favourite beach bag for my trip up north in a couple of weeks. Love.

MAKE: Even though Pinterest is probably the BEST tool in the whole wide world for categorising and organising your internet finds, there’s something so nice about having a real, tangible cookbook. These printable minimal recipe cards are oh so stickably handy.

GO: So the other day when I read about the announcement of The Travel Bootcamp in Sydney, I barely blinked an eye before I booked my ticket! So Sydney, I’m unexpectedly coming for you next month!
