Sunday Selections

October 4, 2015

Sorry about the Sunday Selections silence last weekend, friends. I was all swept up in magical Florence and hardly looked at my laptop all weekend. I felt a little guilty that I left you in the lurch, but it was so nice to be a little more offline than usual. This week I’m trying to be a little more organised and write this week’s post in advance from Hamburg, where I am staying for a single night before flying out to Portugal for the WOW Trip! I am beyond excited about this little adventure with a small group of beautiful ladies. Make sure that you follow along on Instagram for all the action!

Here are this week’s favourite links:

WATCH: Last Sunday was World Tourism Day, which reminded me just how privileged I was to be able to travel so freely when so many others face restrictions and barriers of all kinds. This video, put together by the World Travel and Tourism Council, sums this sentiment up perfectly.

READ: Brooke, the girl behind World of Wanderlust and the lovely human I’m spending the next week with recently published a book titled, ‘A Year to Myself’, in which she reflects on the ups and downs of her year of solo travels around the world. If you haven’t read it yet, you can get your very own copy here.

EAT: In between Italy where I stuffed my face with mounds of tortellini, parmigiano reggiano, pizza and porchetta for five days straight; and Portugal, where it’s been all about the Portuguese tarts, I need to go on a serious detox when I return to Berlin!

MAKE: Cork boards don’t have to be boring. Check out these fun, creative designs!

BUY: If autumn hadn’t firmly gripped Berlin already, I’d love to be buying flats like these and not warm boots.

GO: I’ve heard so many great things about Lisbon and the Not Your Standard Guide to Lisbon was pretty inspiring reading leading up to this trip!
