Sunday Selections

June 7, 2015

What an exciting, crazy week it’s been! Prague was a whirlwind of delight last weekend as you may have seen either on Instagram or in the reviews that I’ve started posting, both about my transport to Prague with Busbud and also the first tour I did with Guidilo. Don’t go too far — there’s much more coming this week!

On top of that, yesterday I announced that I was partnering with Tinggly, the company that gifts incredible experiences around the world. I’ve just returned from my first Tinggly experienceSkip-the-Line Berlin TV Tower with VIP Lunch — so keep your eye out for the review soon.

As you can see, The Department of Wandering is operating at full throttle at the moment, but yesterday was reserved as a day for taking it slow. Summer has arrived in the city, with temperatures hitting 32 ° Celsius yesterday. Saturday mornings in our world always involve me getting up first to put a pot of coffee on and to walk downstairs to pick up fresh, warm croissants from the bakery underneath our apartment building. This time we enjoyed them with some of the mountain cheese we were gifted from the organic dairy farm we toured last weekend. Delicious. From there we headed to the market on the hunt for summer berries. We stocked up on the most beautiful fresh strawberries, cherries, raspberries and blueberries, and half of our bounty has been devoured already! Are you surprised? The afternoon was lazy and we spent it reading and eating ice-cream in the park. The perfect summer Saturday.

Here are this week’s favourite links:

WATCH: Filmmaker and YouTube personality Casey Neistat travelled around the world to see and do as much as he could in 10 days as part of the Nike #makeitcount campaign. His video will inspire you to do more!

READ: We all experience the travel blues when we return home after an amazing trip somewhere. If you’ve been away for a long time, adjusting to life back home again can take even longer. This post gives some great advice as to how we can do it.

EAT: Now that summer has finally arrived in Berlin, it’s cocktail season! I want one of these.

MAKE: This is a nifty idea for carving your own stamps.

BUY: This dress just shouts summer! Too cute.

GO: Jessica Wray’s stunning photos of desert scenes in Jordan really make me want to book a ticket.
