This weekend has been one full of celebration. Yesterday, one of my best friends in Berlin turned 30 and a bunch of us celebrated by going to Thailand together! Well, it felt like we were there! We visited the famed ‘Thai Park’ in south Berlin where, every day, Thai women gather to cook up and sell Thai delicacies from their very own little stalls dotted around the park. Unfortunately, the weather gods weren’t smiling down on us yesterday and as soon as we arrived, a thunderstorm hit, washing out both the market and us! We ran for shelter and ducked into a cafe for a cosy few drinks which continued into the night at another favourite local bar. Cocktails were aplenty and I’m nursing a bit of a sore head today as I type this. But that’s okay. Sundays are meant to be spent in pyjamas eating Vegemite toast, right?
