Fondly known as ‘King’s Landing’ by Game of Thrones fans, it’s easy to see how the city transformed into a medieval fantasy land for the popular TV show. The self-proclaimed ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ is a stunningly intact wonderland rich in history and architectural beauty, with its historic centre listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The gleaming marble maze of lanes that snake their way through the Old Town lined with beautiful Baroque architecture and bordered by the shimmering Adriatic sea is immediately captivating to visitors. Dubrovnik’s reputation as the most beautiful walled city in the world has ensured that it has become one of Croatia’s most popular tourist destinations.
