There’s so much that I love about Vietnam. Its food is some of the best in Southeast Asia, its history is some of the most compelling and the landscape of this long and slim land is beautifully varied. This, combined with the fact that it is very cheap to travel through as well as quite safe, makes it a travel favourite for me. I visited Vietnam in early 2010 as part of a longer trip throughout the region and even though I was only there for less than two weeks, the richness of my experiences there made it feel a lot longer than that. This selection of 15 photographs from my travels will make you want to escape to the land of the blue dragon.
15 photographs that will make you want to visit Vietnam:

I a going to Vietnam in February! What was your favorite place/experience?
That’s so exciting Jacqueline! I loved Hoi An — it was so picturesque and makes for beautiful photos. What are your travel plans?
WOW. Those photos are seriously stunning. I have yet to make it to SEA but am really keen to go!
Thanks lovely! You must make some plans to get there soon — it’s one of my favourite regions in the world!
I visited Vietnam a few months ago and there are so many more things I want to do in the country! It’s seriously a beautiful place to go to inside and outside of the cities.
It really is Kaley. I’m desperate to get back there and see some more of it. Which regions did you visit?
I’m going to North Vietnam this December!.. Can’t. Freaking. Wait. :-O!!
Beautiful! I never made it to the north but have heard such wonderful things about it, especially Hanoi. I’m so envious of all that delicious food you’ll be eating! Happy travels! x
Thanks! I’m said though that I can’t go to the south, but in just two weeks time you have to make a choice! Can’t wait for the foods! I’m guessing that they have a lot of choices for vegetarians!
You don’t want to cram too much in. Much better to see less but experience more. Oh my god the food! So so many options for vegetarians too. Have the BEST time! x
We visited Vietnam a few months ago! Such an amazing experience. Absolutely loving your photos- so vibrant and refreshing! xx
Thanks lovely Kayla! Which parts of Vietnam did you visit? I am dying to go back and eat my way through the country! x
Amazing imagery! Makes me reminisce about my trip there back in 2014. I also loved Hoi An and still wear the custom clothes I had made for like, $25USD! Also loved Phu Quoc island - that place is going to be the next huge SE Asian beach destination b/c Thailand is already so overcrowded.
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers,
Jared
