Okay, where’s the real coffee? I’m from Melbourne, you see, which explains my need for a decent brew. It may very well be the first thing I google after checking into a new city. So Google, where’s the good coffee at? Caffè Il Momento, that’s where.
Amsterdam’s coffee scene is growing fast, there’s no question about that. If you’re looking for a quality cup in the city’s beautiful Jordaan district, Caffè Il Momento is your place. Located on one of the prettiest corners on the Singel canal and just a couple of blocks from the Anne Frank Museum, Caffè Il Momento’s location couldn’t be better.
Kees, the owner, and his other top notch baristas know their stuff. You’ll find flat whites that would impress any Melbournian and that’s saying something. Il Momento’s speciality coffee is single-roasted in Amsterdam and is available for purchase. Of course, stroopwafels are on offer to customers too — the perfect accompaniment.
The exposed bricks, wooden benches and flooring make the interior cosy and rustic.
If you head to Caffè Il Momento soon, you might just be able to give the resident puppy, Badu a little cuddle too. Coffee, stroopwafels, puppies. Yep, I like this place.
