Last week was a glorious, short week and I’ve spend this weekend celebrating the beginning of May. This has meant heading to one of the biggest street festivals I have ever seen for ‘Mai Tag’ (May Day) and then spending the rest of the long weekend drinking coffee, walking and relaxing. Perfect.
WATCH: Life truly is one big adventure and this Vimeo, ‘Travel Love’, from Christian Grewe certainly does nothing except add fuel to my fire to just get out there and explore! South America is definitely on my wanderlust list.
READ: I am adoring Trottermag‘s beautifully curated and photographed city guides of New York, Paris and London. The ‘Must Try Sweets’ of Paris is a favourite, I admit. The fact that I have only sampled three of these sweet delights, however, is far from acceptable. I must get back to Paris soon to tick off the rest of the list!
COOK: Isn’t Linda Lomelino’s gorgeous spring Neapolitan cake with macarons just a piece of art? Exquisite. Check out her beautiful blog, ‘Call me Cupcake’, for more cake envy.
MAKE: There is an avocado-obsession in our household. It’s nothing new; we carried it over with us from Australia. Ben is attempting to grow his own avocado tree from an avocado pit suspended in water, after seeing one of our friends conducting a similar experimentation. I’m not sure where we’ll put an avocado tree in our third floor apartment which lacks a balcony, but it’s a fun little project nonetheless.
DREAM BUY: When shoe shopping in Berlin, it’s all about the comfort. You won’t see any heels teetering around the cobblestoned streets over here. I would love a new pair of skate shoes to take me into summer and these Givenchy shoes in floral print and black leather are great! Pity about the price tag though.
BUDGET BUY: We’re now into the last month of spring which only means one thing: next month is summer! After such a long winter I can hardly believe that we’ve come out the other side. I can’t think of much else at the moment except planning my summer holidays so that I can soak up as much sun as possible. Naturally, a new bikini will be necessary, and I think this one from Victoria’s Secret will do just fine.
GO: Ben and I are off to Barcelona in two weeks for a short weekend break. A major concept art event is being hosted there which he would be crazy to miss and I thought I might just tag along too. While he’s thinking art, I’ll be thinking tapas. Perfect, no?
