I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to Australia and all of its happy people, sunshine and fresh food, but time had crept away and before I knew it it was time to leave again. If you follow along on Instagram, you may understand exactly why I felt a little sad to leave. At the same time, however, exciting things are in the works back in Berlin. This year will see some pretty big changes happening and I can’t wait to share them with you very soon.
Berlin greeted us with blossoming trees, indicating that spring had well and truly arrived, which, I must admit, was a pretty nice welcome back. It’s so lovely to see some colour in the city again. This weekend involved not-so-exciting chores such as re-stocking the pantry and catching up on the washing, but was also mixed with some lovely bits in between, such as coffees here, dinner with friends, as well as a visit to world-renowned photographer, Sebastião Salgado’s new exhibition, Genesis this afternoon — a pretty grand way to end the weekend if you ask me.
Here are this week’s favourite links:
WATCH: Have you been to Barcelona? You’ll feel like you have after watching this video.
READ: This article on ‘the biggest lie you tell yourself when you live abroad’ kind of hits the nail on the head.
EAT: This coconut pecan banana bread. Yes please!
MAKE: My sister has recently started making her own scented soy candles, free of paraffin. Here’s how.
BUY: I need one of these for my next long-haul to block out the world.
GO: These photos of stunning New Zealand by the lovely Nicola of Polkadot Passport really make me want to get back there to explore again.
Hoping that your week ahead holds some colour and fun x
