G’day from far north Queensland! Today Ben and I flew up to Carins torturously early where we picked up a rental car and drove an hour north to Port Douglas, a beautiful beachside town and gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. We’re here for two reasons. Firstly, we’re doing a bit of wedding location scouting because how dreamy would this place be for a wedding destination? Secondly, I’m covering the region for Electrify Mag to showcase the very best way to spend a few days here. Today we checked into Thala Beach Nature Reserve, an expansive eco-lodge that is leading the way in sustainable tourism and I have my fingers and toes crossed that this lingering rainstorm clears up soon so I can show you just how incredible this place is. Stay tuned! In the meantime, be sure to follow along on Snapchat for all the live action (deptofwandering)
I’m really so excited to be back in this stunning part of Australia since I haven’t visited in many years. I’ll be here for most of the week so if you’ve got any tips or recommendations, I’d love you to leave a comment below and give me the scoop!
