Welcome to the first installment of the brand-new ‘Wanderlust Wednesday’ series! Each Wednesday, I’ll be sharing a selection of photographs, all from my past travels, to inspire your future travels with each week featuring a different destination or experience.
To kick things off, let’s start with one of the world’s most awe-inspiring landscapes: the Himalayas in Nepal. In early 2012, I embarked on a 16-day trek through the Annapurna region of the Himalayas with World Expeditions; one of the most defining experiences I’ve ever had in all my travels. While the devastating earthquake in Nepal caused terrible destruction to Nepal (read a first-person account of the quake here) and its tourism industry, Nepal is back on its feet again, is safe, and ready to welcome visitors once more. In fact, the best way that you can help Nepal recover from the devastation is by visiting and bringing your tourist dollars into the country. What are you waiting for? These photographs from my trek might just help you along a little bit.
